Investing in Cameroon: procedures and points to check
Before committing money, you need to know what operation you are carrying out, with whom, and which body supervises it. This page shows where to check.
Before committing money
- Name the operation: land purchase, company creation, equity stake, project financing.
- Check who you are dealing with and what they are entitled to sell or do.
- Have any land title checked by the competent administration before any payment.
- Ask for documents you can have verified. A photo or a message does not prove ownership.
- Have the deeds read by a legal professional authorised in Cameroon.
